Dr. Howard A. Miller, grew up in Cedarhurst, Long Island. From the time he was a teenager, Dr. Miller always aspired to become a veterinarian. Dr. Miller has been the owner of Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital since April, 1990. After graduating veterinary school, Dr Miller interned at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. He then served as staff veterinarian at Great Neck Animal Hospital on Long Island. Dr Miller has a strong interest in veterinary internal medicine, surgery, dentistry and acupuncture. He is certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Dr. Miller is also credentialed by Vet-Stem to perform Stem Cell Therapy. Continuing education is very important to Dr. Miller and he now serves as the President and Sponsorship Chairman for the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. This is one of the largest local veterinary associations in the United States. The sole mission is to offer outstanding continuing education to veterinarians in the metropolitan New Jersey area.
Dr. Miller and his wife Ruth have three daughters and two dogs (Willy and Cooper). He is an avid Mets fan. His favorite outside activities include playing tennis and spending time at the beach.

Ann Marcario, DVM
Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital would like to extend a warm welcome to our new associate.
Dr. Ann L. Marcario is excited to be joining our team. A native New Yorker, Dr. Marcario graduated from
SUNY Geneseo with a BS in Biology and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross
University. After graduation, Dr. Marcario completed an internship at VCA Newark Animal Hospital, a
specialty and emergency center in Delaware. She has a strong background in emergency /critical care
and surgery.
Dr. Marcario has a variety of interests including training for half marathons with her beagle mix, Jilly and
spending time on the family farm. She is also an avid singer/musician and loves to cook.

Steven F. Lewis, DVM
Dr. Lewis is originally from Caldwell, NJ and currently resides in West Orange with his son
Spencer, one large dog named Sergeant and 3 great cats. He graduated from Rutgers University, Cook
College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. Dr. Lewis graduated from
Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. He then completed a small animal rotating medical
and surgical internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, Connecticut. Dr.
Lewis joined the Iselin Veterinary Hospital as staff veterinarian in 2004 and worked as an associate there
until September of 2010. His professional interests include ultrasonography and related diagnostic
procedures as well as working up complex medical cases. Dr. Lewis is an avid (though admittedly terrible)
golfer and automotive enthusiast.

Dr. Justin Goggin performs ultrasound and radiology consultations on a case by case basis. We are very

Christopher Thacher, D.V.M.,

Dr. Chris Thacher, former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at The Animal Medical Center and
current staff surgeon at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital performs advanced surgery at Eagle Rock
Veterinary Hospital. Procedures include, but are not limited to, Anterior Cruciate repairs, Patella
Luxations, fracture repairs and soft tissue surgeries such as Gastropexies and Total Ear Canal Ablations
(TECA). We are thrilled to have Dr. Thacher's expertise available at ERVH.
Wendy Ross, D.V.M., Diplomate,
ACVS (Surgery)
Dr. Wendy Ross performs complicated surgical procedures at Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital on a case
by case basis. Examples of procedures that Dr. Ross performs are Anterior Cruciate repairs (including
the TTA procedure), Patella Luxations, fracture repairs and soft tissue surgery.
